@Bang4BuckPCGamer3 years ago There certainly is a visual difference with ray tracing on in doom eternal, but is it worth the performance hit on the radeon gpu' s? 16

@wolniacha_tv3 years ago The only real difference that i can see is the about 50% less fps lmao. 62
  • @
@thehighnoon32003 years ago There are a lot of scenes that you cant notice a difference in so id take the extra frames over some unnoticeable. 18

@Steezy763 years ago I love the ray tracing being on. I average 262fps through demanding areas over an hour of gameplay at 1080p. 6900xt is a beast. 2

@nick48103 years ago Rt is barely noticeable in this game, not enough reflective surfaces. 11

@simonhoel2704last year Ray tracing doesn' t beat good old fashioned trickery with compressed footage
although the absurdly bloody and icy levels look really nice irl.

@jumowagames3 years ago Hope they are working on adding the rest of raytracing features. 1

@colinparks6193 years ago Over 115 fps less!
    wtf!
    that needs fsr now.

@FAHRENHEITDELIO3 years ago Someone pass me a magnifying glass or digitalfondry zoom to see the difference that justifies the loss of 50% of the fps. 2

@i3rucei3ruce3 years ago You can see the difference on most metallic surfaces even throughout this part of the game (which has the fewest reflective surfaces in the whole game but yeah for radeon, rt may not be worth it. Good thing it will be relatively optional for a few more years still. Next radeon cards will likely have much better. ...Expand 4

@xXxALeXFuTexBaLxXx3 years ago This just eats performance without dlss damn lol. 7

@kingvulpes49052 years ago I got a rx 6600xt and i use high settings with rt on at 1080p, gets about over 100fps.
  • @
@chriscole89093 years ago I played it for about an hour in tunnels with water and basically inside areas it' s noticable especially with hdr. But is it a better gamingbut it is pretty.
  • @
@vncube13 years ago I' m guessing you didn' t want to spoil the later parts of the game but the rt doesn' t seems worthwhile at the beginning: /.
  • @
@raf.nogueira3 years ago Please make a new video, this time nvidia x amd, using fsr and dlss with ray tracing respectively.
  • @
@MihaiLatYoutube3 years ago Ray tracing in this game is even more of a gimmick. It is putting a monster gpu onto its knees without any, visual, reason. 3
  • @
@krystallize79143 years ago If you play in wqhd, you can easily leave rt on and still get 144fps (i locked it) so it' s an easy yes there, but on 4k? Nah man.
  • @
@emanuelabonfanti3133 years ago I don' t notice any difference from the video apart from a drop in fps. 2

@terni42913 years ago because of this ray tracing the scene loses its idea (because of the reflexiton on the helmet glass its getting harder to recognise the doomguy face) and of course losing of 100%+ of perfomance for non visible difference is not worth it .. ...Expand 4

@neonraven51322 years ago As long as frame rates are above 60 ill use ray tracing.
  • @
@RichNorthroplast year I dont think its worth 100 frames on average tbh.
  • @
@thaddeus24473 years ago So far most terrible implementation of ray tracing in 90% you don' t see difference and even if you see reflection it' s not really needed there. . ...Expand 5

@Partsi87v3 years ago Doom hunter base is much better level for rtx on vs off comparison, reflective metal all over the level right from the get go.
  • @
@vincentabel38253 years ago Wow! Your metric numbers are sooooo small. It would be nice to view them at 2m away rather than. 3m super close up.
  • @
@lb59283 years ago Rtx is such pointless trash, its destroying performance for absolutely nothing. The game barely looks any different at all definitely doesn' t look better. Worse gimmick nvidia ever suckered gamers into. 8
