Things to do in Kelowna BC: Hiking Lebanon Creek in Kettle Valley

As you can tell from checking out our channel one of our favourite things to do in Kelowna BC is to hike! And why not? There are so many spots to go scramble inside the city or even just outside like at Mount Boucherie in West Kelowna BC which will likely be our next adventure. Lebanon Creek Park is at the end of Chute Lake Road in Kettle Valley and has ample parking. There are two ways to go when you get to the trailhead, we decided to go 'left' and down across the creek and up the mountain on the other side. If you follow that trail it eventually takes you to the parking lot of John's Family Nature Conservatory Regional Park and is about 4 kilometers. The elevation gain in some parts is quite steep so be prepared to stop and catch your breath every once in a while. As always, bring plenty of water and get out first thing in the morning if you are planning on doing this in the summer. It gets really hot down here on the south side of Kelowna as there aren't a lot of opportunities for shade on that mountain side. If you decide to go to the 'right' when starting off this hike it will take you on a much easier route and one that is no less scenic. This hike ranks as slightly harder than the more popular Mount Boucherie and Knox Mountain but still takes you to a similar bird’s eye view of the lake. However, if you’re a tourist, stopping in Kelowna for a short time, look towards Mount Boucherie or Knox Mountain before doing this one.
