The 1986 Cleveland Balloonfest disaster (the 1500,000 balloons event)

Balloonfest '86 was a 1986 event in which the United Way of Cleveland in Ohio set a world record by releasing almost one-and-a-half million balloons. Although it gained the World record for simultaneous release of balloons, this event had many dreadful fatal and non fatal consequences ,in addition to property damage.
