Galho recipe:
Ingredients-
Ingredients:
Chicken -400 gm
Rice :
local rice -1/2cup mixed with 1/2 cup basmati rice
Chilli powder 1tsp or according to preference
Chopped cabbage 1 cup
Chopped carrot 1/2cup
Tomato 1 small size chopped
Ginger( I have taken naga ginger) -1 inch (1/2 julliened and 1/2crushed)
Tender beans leaves - 1cup
precooked bamboo shoot 1/2cup (optional)
Salt as per taste
Note: You can add veggies and green leafies according to preference.
Steps:
1.In a cooker, add chicken, rice,
5 cups of water ,salt and
pressure cook for 4-5 whistles .
2.Now , take out the chicken
and shred it.
3.Add water to adjust
the consistency and crush a bit.
4.Add the chicken,chilli powder,ginger,
tomato, carrots and bamboo shoot.
cook for another 5 mins .
5.Finally add tender beans leaves ,
cabbage and cook for another 3 mins.
