In this episode, we are going to discuss common mistakes we are seeing homeowners make that could result in foreclosure notices starting January 1st, 2022. Forbearance was allowed under the CARES Act for a maximum of 18 months. Many homeowners have exited forbearance, the remaining millions are exiting now and in the near future. Servicers DO NOT want to take your home! But if you do not know your options, and if you are not proactive, or do not understand your responsibility, you could find yourself in a position that puts your homeownership at risk, and it was completely avoidable. If you're still in forbearance, or have exited forbearance and have not yet entered a repayment plan with your servicer, you're going to want to pay close attention to this episode. We'll tell you what you need to know to avoid further hardship after an already challenging couple of years caused by the pandemic.
