Minnesota Wild head coach Dean Evason contract extension

The Minnesota Wild has signed head coach Dean Evason and the entire coaching staff to multi-year contract extensions just ahead of the NHL Winter Classic at Target Field. As the Omicron variant cancels some professional sports contests, the NHL expects the Winter Classic planned for New Year's Day in Minneapolis to go on without a hitch. Target Field is set to hold the annual outdoors game that has become an annual tradition for hockey fans. This year's match will be the 13th game.
