This Lamy 2000 began with an ef nib and the iridium tip was ground to a needle point. Not much tipping left and it took a few days of extemely delicate, slow work. Because the 14K Lamy 2000 nib is fairly stiff without being a nail the needle point line is actually pretty smooth. A lot smoother than my John Mottishaw Falcon needle point that has some good flex that makes the tines bounce. The video is a "gravity" drawing showing ink flow and line quality. Zero pressure was added beyond the weight of the fountain pen.
