It's not uncommon to hear members of volunteer firefighting brigades refer to themselves as a family – brothers and sisters putting enormous faith in each other as they battle to save lives and properties. But within that broad community there are smaller family units – mums and dads, sisters and brothers. People who really do seem to have firefighting in their blood.
