Dahi chicken, a chicken curry in yogurt gravy, is the easiest to prepare even for beginners. The chicken is butter-soft and very flavorful. Serve it with steamed rice or roti/chapati/paratha/naan.

Ingredients for Dahi Chicken:
Chicken – 500g;
Spices – 1 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp red chilli powder (or as per taste), 1 tbsp garam masala powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, ½ tsp cumin powder (optional), ½ tsp black pepper powder;
Garlic paste – 1 ½ tbsp;
Ginger paste – 1 tbsp;
Plain Yogurt (Dahi/Curd) – 1 cup;
Salt to taste;
Sliced green chillies – 3 (or as per taste);
Kasuri methi/dried fenugreek leaves – ½ tsp (optional);
Coriander leaves/cilantro to garnish
Water – 1 cup approx.
