Led Zeppelin - Live At Westfalenhalle Dortmund, DE June 17, 1980 Full Concert Remaster

This channel is dedicated to my favorite bootlegs and my attempt to make them as listenable as possible. Crack open a few beers, light up a joint and enjoy! Here is an EX quality SBD recording from the Tour Over Europe 1980. Today marks the 43rd Anniversary of this historic concert! The band is on fire and they plow through the set in less than two hours. The show begins with Train Kept A' Rollin, which is the first song they ever played together as a band. Jimmy Page can be heard introducing Black Dog and is very eager to greet the crowd! This show has so much energy and a prime example of the refreshing sound of what was to come in the 1980's. The band's performances are the strongest of the tour and the most memorable by far. The quality of the performances and recording lead me to believe that this would have been released officially at some point. Sadly, somebody stole all of Jimmy Page's tapes from the 1980 Tour out of his home and that is the only reason we have access to them. Highlights include excellent performances of All My Love, Trampled Under Foot, Achilles Last Stand and an extremely powerful version Kashmir that is my personal favorite of all the tours. Bonzo's thunderous boom shakes the Earth to its core and shows us all why he is the best. The show closes with a unique version of Whole Lotta Love mixed with Heartbreaker. In my opinion, this is THE best night of the tour hands down. The band had a tight and compact sound, which I tried to dial in along with other improvements.
