The story of her life took some unusual turns and it is truly inspiring. She is known as “The Junkster” on Storage Wars for her knack of turning pieces of junks into pieces of art. Now, she is a reality star on the show. Here are some of the best finds of Mary Padian on Storage Wars - Mary’s Leather Skiver – This is definitely one of the best finds of Mary on Storage Wars. She found this heavy-metal, some sort of machinery and she was unaware of what actually it was at first. Later, when she consulted with a professional, she got to know that the thing was a metal skiver. So skiving is basically removing a layer of leather to make it more shining and attractive. There is a blade on the top that is used to take the awful layer of leather off. This is a great and very handy tool. It was worth about 200 dollars! She was really happy with the deal. Later she crafted a leather bracelet with the machine and named it “skilz”. Vintage vanity Kit – She found a treasure full of very rare and old vanity kits and she decided to sell it in the vintage shop in one of the episodes of Storage Wars. There were a lot of pretty kits in the box and also a corset in it. After looking at the corset, the owner of the shop said that it probably belonged from the Victorian era! The hair brushes were made from boar’s hair and they were in pretty good shape too. When Padian asked the value of her vanity kit, she told her that the corset alone cost about 400 dollars, and the silver brushes with boar’s hair cost 600 dollars. So, in total, the price of the whole kit was about 1000 dollars which was a pretty good deal. She was happy with her deal and she said “That’s fine for me. Looks like I got so many in my pocket!”. Snake Charming Lesson – In one of the episodes, Mary found something very unusual. She found a musical instrument like a flute and with coins attached to its body and a piece of cloth with it. There was also a vase-like basket inside the trunk. Mary immediately realized that the whole thing was a snake-charming set and it is definitely from India. She said, “OMG! If that’s it, that is freaking awesome!”. She took those unique finds to the nearest popular store who specializes in ancient traditional and unique Indian finds. The owner explained that the “been”, that is the musical instrument, the cloth, and the blanket are all parts of the snake charming set. In India, people used and still use this staff to charm snakes like cobra, which is pretty common. The snakes cannot really listen, so they use the “been” to move the snakes as it feels its vibrations to move along. Though the whole set was still working and was in good condition, the owner offered her 70 dollars for the whole set. She said that she was expecting a bit more, but still, it is one of the unique finds in the history of Storage Wars that’s for sure. Pokémon Cards – Those who are Pokémon fans in here must definitely remember the Pokémon cards that were one of the pretty hyped games at one of the moments. So, Padian found a bunch of old Pokémon cards that were probably 10 to 15 years old. There were many normal cards, some rare cards, and some were super rare that are worth 20 dollars per card! She took them to Core TCG and talked about them with Angel and Ty. They explained about those cards and said that some of them were really rare and are worth a lot. When she asked them about the total cost of the bunch of the cards, they said that it is an estimated total amount of 600 to 700 dollars! She was very happy with the deal and 600 dollars for some cards is a lot if you ask me! Definitely one of the best finds of Mary on Storage Wars. An Old Trunk – This is probably the best find in the entire show of the Storage Wars. She once found an entire unit that contained a lot of unique stuff from World War 2. It contained a pack of Kool cigarettes that was never opened, a little harmonica, and about 1000 letters that he wrote to his wife every day!
