A song I've always connected, both in terms of mood and lyrics, with the exhaustion the band faced after Slippery When Wet (and then New Jersey) had rocketed them to fame and stardom. A little in the vein of Wanted Dead Or Alive, I tried to put my feelings into this video. Some quotes from the band that underline what I wanted this one to be about: "The touring got almost senseless to the point where you didn't know where you were or why you were doing it anymore..." (Richie) "Everyone was saying 'I', there was no 'we' in the sentences. For when you start saying 'I' instead of 'we', the party's pretty much over." (Doc McGhee) "We all needed to get on with our own lives, for whatever that may have been..." (Tico) "Physically and emotionally, you could look at us on this stage...the band are drunk and high and bloated and...me too, we were a wreck! And that's how that New Jersey tour ended. There was nobody screwing anybody's wife or 'I screwed you of money', none of that! But when that show was over, five guys took five planes to five different places. And there was no goodbyes. It was just 'pour me and my suitcase' and 'take me home'. And we were dead, DEAD!" (Jon Bon Jovi) This channel is now also on Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/hand90_channel Feel free to follow for updates and discussions :) Also make sure to check out the new website dedicated to Bon Jovi Tours that a friend and I are working on: https://bjtours.jimdo.com/ It's steadily growing and includes a lot of background info and trivia on the albums as well as a lot of setlists (older tours are still under construction, but constantly added).
