Bon Jovi | 1st Night at Madison Square Garden | Multicam | New York 2005

The "companion" to the legendary 2nd night with the overwhelming audience. In comparison, this one suffers a few issues: The show wasn't fully filmed and starts with Story Of My Life (other versions on YT have the first songs added from Night 2). Furthermore, near the end, sound problems appear and you have the sound cutting out for about a second every now and then. I'm not sure if that happened during the time the filmer edited this together from two sources and why the second audio source wasn't used in that case. I say this because it's notable that a different (and thinner) sound stream was used for the last part of the show. To be completely honest, I knew more details about the story behind this about 12 years ago when I used to be in contact with one of the filmers. I remember something about his tripod breaking and a malfunction of one of the microphones. In fact, I was offered the original DV tapes of the show, but a three-digit number for that wasn't worth it. Still, the sound was redone in two steps to align it as much as possible and the video was reworked as well. Keep in mind that one of the sources was superior to the other, but they're overall both pretty watchable. Funnily enough, they're almost the identical angle which kind of defeats the purpose of a multicam edit :D The audience was absolutely on fire, just like on the second night! Setlist: --.
