Used in every blacksmith shop on the Lightside of Xeen. The original commission to Tim Tully reads: "Where you buy new armor, rings, gauntlets. Can find items like: single hand weapons, double handed weapons, missile weapons, bows long or cross, armour, plate chain mail, leather, boots, rings, belts, medals, brooch, necklace, etc. Blacksmith will also fix stuff and buy stuff." The original version (A) is based on the text still existing in the midi file, while the midi and game version (B) use slightly different instrumentation. * "Cello" (A) to "Contrabass (B) * "Contrabass" (A) to "Harp 1" (B) While the FM and Canvas SC-55 versions of this track seem to be properly balanced, the MT-32 version (both the original midi and in the final game) have the main trumpet theme playing too quiet. This has been fixed for the MT-32 version of the soundtrack. However, the original mixes have still been included at the end of the playlist. * * * * * This rendition of the soundtrack is a digital CD-DA bonus included on the PC-98 CD-ROM version of the game. It is merely a poorly made recording of the Roland MT-32 version from the final game (thus retaining the game's programming error of lowering every composition by 2 semitones). It is not to be confused with Takeshi Abo's OPN2 arrangments that are actually heard while playing the PC-98 version of the game.
